Cookie Policy
Last updated: 23 June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Climbio ("we", "us", "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on climbio.co.uk. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device to make them work, keep them secure, or remember information about your visit. Similar technologies (like local storage) can be used for the same purposes.
How we use cookies
We've deliberately kept our website lightweight. We don't use any advertising, marketing or cross-site behavioural-tracking cookies. The cookies we do use fall into two groups:
Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential to deliver the site securely and reliably, and don't require consent. They are set by our infrastructure providers:
- Vercel (our hosting provider) may set limited essential cookies for security and to keep the site running smoothly.
- Formspree (which handles our contact forms) may set cookies when you submit a form, to process your submission and help prevent spam.
Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful, so we can improve the site. Google Analytics sets cookies on your device. Because these are not strictly necessary, we only set them if you accept via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Until you accept, and if you decline, no Google Analytics cookies are stored, and we use Google's Consent Mode so that analytics defaults to denied. We also enable IP anonymisation. We don't use Google Analytics data for advertising.
Managing your consent
You can change your choice at any time: reopen the cookie banner to accept or decline analytics cookies. Your preference is remembered on your device, so you won't be asked again unless you clear your browser storage.
You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, most browsers let you block or remove cookies. See aboutcookies.org or your browser's help pages for instructions. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
